andyrothers Posted July 11, 2005 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 Trying to re-wire a bike with cdi ignition junking the battery & switches etc. Got a wiring diagram but as yet, no spark..... Found the ignition wire from the generator and it is producing voltage when kicked over. Found the 2 wires from the pulse from the generator Connected these up to the cdi box, there is an output to the LT side of the coil but it is less than the output directly from the generator (going to get a digital multimeter so I can measure it accurately) Question. Is there a way to test the CDI box? What should the output voltage be at the LT wire? Should the voltage be different from the generator and the output of the CDI?? Andy.
