jonboy883
Have you tried a new plug. Sometimes you get a spark when there's no pressure on the plug, but the electrodes are weak, and when in the head it loses the ability to spark, basically it shorts out. Try a new spark plug first, and make sure you have fuel coming through.......

thats_a_five
I always carry a new plug and plug wrench on my 2 stokes. You never know when they will foul. After a few kicks, if it doesn't start, pop out the plug and screw in the new one.

nigel dabster
Hes not joking, do you regularily check the gap and clean and inspect (colour etc)? I change my plugs every 3 months or so.
cabby
I'm not joking either, no I don't. The bike was on it's original plug from new til about 3 months ago, hence why I don't check them. I had a ktm 200 two stroke enduro bike that would eat 3 plugs in the afternoons riding. thats_a_five
Fuel gets to the plug from the carburetor.

thats_a_five
Asimo, check the other thread you started about you bike. Bikes that sit for long times, often develop problems from water in fuel, varnish inside carbs from evaporated fuel and clogged jets from oxidation of the metal inside the carb. asimo
hi I am doing my best but Sherco wont go. a mate came and had a look at her . he kicked it over while I held onto the plug, no spark. He seems to think it is the stator, switch and or coil????? so I will take a look at the stator and see what I can find where would I be able to get a new updated stator? or coil?? A big thanks to everyone who has given me advice as I be lost without it. cheers asimo
