jackiry
I recently purchased a montesa 4RT 260 I'm absolutely delighted with the bike but the back tyre (Its a dunlop) is shocking! i want to change it to an IRC but I'm concerned it wont fit as they wouldn't fit on my Previous bike (gas gas 2012) Can anybody put me in the clear? gooseneck
Don't spoil an awesome bike with a crap tyre, just put a Michelin on and have done with it. They may be a few £££ more but well worth it!
jj65
Buy some michelins and put the dunlops back on when you sell it. Great to hear your enjoying your new bike, a mate has just picked up a new 260 and loves it.
johnnyc
Dont make the same mistake i did. I put an IRC on my my new 4rt it went down after 5 mins riding. They don't seem to seal on the rims. Took it off put a Michelin on and no problem whatsoever, I had read about all the problems with the IRC but the supplier claimed they were a bad batch and all the problems had been sorted. Obviously not!!
t-shock 250
Strange tyres dunlops, they take 2 or 3 trials to start working then they seem pretty good.
skyline1
I also got told this about Dunlops. I have a new one fitted so I will be able to report back soon. I must say I have been out on mine twice now & I find it ok.

schmorgas
I'm with you on that. I love the bike, but with two pounds in the rear tyre there's hardly any sag at all on mine !!! I'll be going Michelin though. Short lived maybe, but grippy Cheers
jj65
Dunlop's are very popular in japan, so they can't be that bad, they obviously have a run in period, before they work there best. This guy does alright on them...
benbeta125
My new mont works perfect with the Dunlop on the rear, I have a Michelin on the front though! IRC should now worth as these new bikes don't have D.I.D Rims they are Morad so an IRC should be OK!
