wrlondon
Been watching youtube videos of trial bike riding for a while now and taken the plunge! Got a sherco 250 1999! Few problems im trying to find out the best way to fix one of which is the last owner thought baffles where silly and should be chucked in the bin so its VERY loud is the best way to repack the muffler? not finding many exhausts on machinemart/ ebay! and the same with fork seals, easy job if i can find a set >.< from what i understand i have the last of the rotax engined ones if that helps! Also how do I adjust idle and mixture? Ie which screw does which! Thanks
zerorev3rev4
you may have to cut a hole out of the silencer leaving a bit of an edge for a larger piece to be riveted and sealed back on , try splat shop for fork seals or poss ebay ,the sherco came out in 99 so it is the first bike they made from what i know they never had a rotax fitted ( have you got a scorpa ) the centre screw on the carb adjusts the tick over if the mixture screw is engine side its out to richen if its to airbox side its in to richen , if it is a 99 sherco i remember them having a very small idle jet which was prone to blocking up so make sure you have a fuel filter on it and your fuel can is clean inside you can also filter fuel when filling up
t-shock 250
As above, sounds like you don't have a sherco if it's got a rotax engine!?!?
toetoe
this is a photo of my 1999 the silencer as been packed and covered over by the previous owner, perhaps you can see if your bike looks the same, if it doesn't then it's not a sherco, or send a photo in so we can have a look at it, try the splatshop for your parts or www.haventrialsport.co.uk, i have always found what i want from one or the other. toetoe
Yep it's a scorpa haha! Will re post in the right forum Feel like abit of an idiot lol no need to feel like an idiot, a lot of the early water cooled bike look quite similar to a beginner but the good thing about it is, a lot of people say that the rotax was a rely good motor.
