obsever no 1 uk
Bad ! I wouldn't bother with one ,you must be serious to have a spare practice wheel- so you will have noticed that not many (or hardly any) riders consider this tyre option . mokwepa
Ive been keeping a close eye on this goldentyre debate as our South African Beta imported has just brought in a batch, or a few months ago. He says they are great and has them fitted on his factory evo 300. He rides intermediate and is dam good even at the age of 70ish ( seriously, he kicks the pants off of the younger boyz). He has ridden forever so I asume hes been through a bunch of tyres in his life. So why are they bad? Grip, lifespan? Keen to know because at 2/3 the cost....im willing to try them next. jsp
The idea behind the spare wheel is to keep A really good tyre for trials and one not so good For practice saves on tyre wear. And in case I have a tyre problem in a trial I can swop the Wheel and not have to retire. My local dealer was trying the gt355 but I haven't Been in since to ask how he likes them. I'm a Dunlop man myself, but with the gt255 being £30 cheaper thought it might be worth a wirl Jsp
guys
There's a search funtion on the top right for a reason : http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/42980-golden-tyres/ The first series suffered from splitting side walls, for the rest they should be good tyres
