wayne509
Have totally stripped the bike down to the frame for powder coating but still have the fuel pump to remove. It seems to have quick connectors on the fuel lines but I have no idea how to separate them. Anyone know how?
canada280i
I don't know for sure but they look like push and twist, kinda like a childproof twist top on top of a pill bottle
wayne509
I don't know for sure but they look like push and twist, kinda like a childproof twist top on top of a pill bottle Have tried that ( maybe I haven't done it correctly though ) but no joy. They definitely push in a bit but won't come out. Scared to break them as no doubt they wont be cheap. Will ring the importer tomorrow and ask
b40rt
Can't see from your photo, but looks similar to a plumbing fitting, try pushing pipe in, if there is a collet pull it in as well. Then try and remove pipe.
wayne509
Can't see from your photo, but looks similar to a plumbing fitting, try pushing pipe in, if there is a collet pull it in as well. Then try and remove pipe. All sorted now .... In the female side there are 4 'hooks'. You need a tool to push in to open them up . I made one from a felt tip pen lid Edited February 23, 2014 by wayne509
trialtrial
Nice - thanks! These are the exact same connectors on the KTM 690 fuel injection system.

I have looked on Ebay and you can get the tools very cheaply but if you are like me and have no patience and want things done 'RIGHT NOW' .... the pen lid is ideal Edited February 23, 2014 by wayne509
lotus54
Is that a fuel filter there? I don't see one in the parts diagram and I wondered if they use one or not.
wayne509
Yes there is a plastic inline filter in there That is what you can see in the pic Edited March 8, 2014 by wayne509

I don't even see that filter listed in the parts manual.
