andy1
I paid around 120 eur for the diagnostic cables. They are not original but they work fine.
lotus54
I would pay that. Where? How about the software?
canada280i
I think a lot of people would pay that
andy1
I don't see any brand on the cables, I will ask my dealer.
trialtrial
Cables can be gotten for *way* cheaper. But the cable is useless unless you have the software. GasGas has the KScan software for download, but this does not work with the OSSA EFI.
alecmorris
Looks like someone has copied the cable already when it's 120 euros , that's a nice profit on the actual cost of making the electronics , but still good value for money given the alternative I have tried the gas gas software with my home made cable but did not work . It's still the ossa Kscan that's the missing for me
janpie
Hi, I spent a lot of time trying to make a diagnosis cable with my son... But we think they have something special. I met recently a very kind guy in a trial event close to Barcelona, in Spain. He was the seller from Ossa factory until last summer. If I'm not wrong his name is Mr. Balester and he speaks good german (I'm from Germany). We spoke about how good would be to be able to buy cheap diagnosis cables to make the reparations of the bikes more accessible to all the ossa bike owners. He told me then that his company was producing the cables! So... I bought the diagnosis cable and a special throttle body from this guy through my dealer. The software was included but I think it was a present from my dealer. The price was also around 120 euros, but I don't remember the name of the company! alecmorris
Jan Thanks for your post Can you send us the software you have ? As I said before if I succeed in making a cable I will provide all details to this forum and offer a cheap cable to buy (about £50 at a guess) Thanks Alec
canada280i
Was the company BTwice. They sell throttle bodies for ossas but I had not read if they came with cables and software, although when you replace the body you do have to reset the TPS
andy1
My cables are from Btwice. I haven't asked my dealer but I have seen them posted on their web. Mine looks the same.
canada280i
I see them on the BTwice website but is the software included so you can set the TPS and idle speed etc?
canada280i
Did anyone ever find out if the BTwice cables come with software?
lotus54
I don't think so, and I have not been able to get a price here either.
canada280i
Thanks lotus, then I cannot see the point in buying a set as without the software you cannot read or adjust anything
andy1
the dealer gives for free the software when you buy the cables. LewisportUSA is a btwice dealer in the USA. Have a look to following video. Btwice posted it on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1430828110502564&set=vb.100007261650275&type=2&theater
