mcman56
How does the 300cc 4t compare to a 250cc 2t in kicking effort? Is it harder or easier? Overall, is it harder or easier to start? Is the kicker higher or lower from the ground? The 2t kicker is a bit high up for those with short legs.
billyt
You do not kick a 4T you push it through the stroke. A 4T is very easy to push through the stroke. The 250 Beta 4T is much easier to push through than the 300cc Beta 4T.
cactusjack
The 4t bikes, although they have higher compression, have an automatic decomp valve, which opens an exhaust valve to lower compression slightly at the top of the compression stroke. this makes kicking them over much easier, and in most cases easier than a 2t. lineaway
Any Beta is easy to start, as most modern bikes. You need an easy starter get a 125 or 200. And why the 300 if starting is the issue, get the 250. Edited April 3, 2014 by lineaway
copemech
2T is on left, 4T on right as I recall.
