starr870
That is really tidy, what year is it? I have a 98 techno that I have had for about two years and have had to just about rebuild the thing as various things have worn out! The latest thing to break is the chain tensioner which has come adrift from the swinging arm, can you see on yours if the boss that it screws to is welded to the swinging arm as I can't find any pictures that show it and can't tell from what I've got left. zerorev3rev4
if you google techno swing arm pics you will find a pic of one from ebay and a perfect shot of the mounting point its just a slightly risen area where it threads in
fatty
Starr870. (Andy) Will have a look in the morning and post you some pics if you want The bike is a 1996. Just brought it a couple of weeks ago and went to four marks this afternoon for a couple of hours to try it out. I think I need to clean the exhaust out and have put a front tyre on it but other than that it all seems very good. I notice you are you are a member of waterside mcc, I have just joined and hope to go on the 13th, but if anything like today is to go on I will only be doing one lap as for some reason my wrist and forearms ache after a short while. Hopefully just need time to get used to it. Thanks Fatty
cactusjack
Ride fitness is the biggest stopper of any rider Fatty, keep at it and the pain will ease eventually. It is a very clean and good looking Techno too, good pick up mate.

starr870
Hi Fatty, Waterside is a really good club very friendly and helpful, I only started last November and their beginners routes are challenging but not to bad that you give up all hope!!! I travel 50 miles to attend their trials as my local clubs really don't cater for beginners which I don't mind as it's only once a month with with plenty of recovery time, I'm over 40 too!! I will miss the next couple of trials as I'm on holiday which is a shame as I'm the only techno rider presently and it would be good to see another to compare with mine. Since having mine I've become an expert at stripping my bike to repair various things that have broken or worn out and have just finished totally rebuilding the engine with new seals and bearings, I get most of my parts from Trials and tribulations or Haven trialsport. Iv,e cleaned my exhaust system out completely the best way is to break it down into the three parts and use a heat gun if you have access to one and leave it blowing into each section for around 20 minutes or until you see the flames coming out of the end where the carbon is burnig off sounds dodgy but works a treat. If you could give me some pictures of the chain tensioners mounting that would be great as mine came loose last week whilst riding at the disused railway line where I practise, it looks like a boss has come out of the arm to me. Cheers Andy. Edited April 5, 2014 by starr870
