ian e
In the process of replacing worn needle rollers on my 06' 4RT's suspension. Done the dog bone - relatively straightforward in the vice, a little heat and a couple of sockets either end of an 8mm threaded stud to push the old ones out. The next one is the one under the swing arm. It looks tricky to remove these in situ but I've no idea how easy or difficult it is to remove the swinging arm so I can work on them on the bench? Anyone care to share their experience please. Thanks, Ian

clay
Hi Ian, ive done that bearing on 315s (pretty sure its the same as the rt) removing the swing arm, turn it on its side, support the under side with a block of timber and drive it out with a socket / extension bar and hammer, tip, place a 1pence on top of the bearing when knocking it out for more support reinstall with the vice, hope this helps bud
perce
You can do the one in the bottom of the swing arm in vice as well, I've done it using a socket either side.
ian e
Thanks for the tips everyone. Took the swinging arm off this morning and used a 14mm socket and a 22mm one with a piece of 8mm stud to remove the bearings under the swing arm itself. They were well soaked in Welsh mud!! `job done now.
