bikespace
The "Why?" section doesn't answer it for me. It's probably a lovely bit of engineering, but: why drum brakes? why rigid tubing for coolant? why silencer at sump shield level? carb looks to be tilted a long way forward. Will it run down hill? Can't see a mention of weight, but it looks like about 2 Gassers? why so ugly? If it's just an engineering project then I could imagine the enjoyment from it, but hopefully he's not marketing it? Seems to have picked the worst bits of 3 decades and combined them in one monster. Please don't let it be anyone on TC - I'll die.

g4321
I quite like it! - Its different The CV carb on the bike is designed ro run at a high angle so that shouldnt be a problem.
toofasttim
after feedback from their existing customers this is what the production version of the 4 stroke scorpa will look like !! That's not nice Heath!

You two would get on with my old man Does this description fit either of you two,,,,just wondering. 65 year old, never happy with the most perfect of machines, it'll need tweaking somehow, and it must have at least a few extra 'brackets'. Bike shops love seeing him walk up the street 'cos he'll find the ugliest bike in the shop "interesting". I'm sure they uncover lost hopes when they see him park up. There's a reason it's been in the shop for 9 years dad - it's unsellable. Within 6 months you'll see another 'interesting' bike and you'll want rid of this one, but it will take you another 9 years to find someone as 'interested' as you were. No offence meant, just joking but is that either of you?
g4321
No offence meant, just joking but is that either of you? NO! Have a look at the little picture under my name - I bought that because it was different, same with the TLR & both would sell very very easilty at a vast profit (If I ever wanted to!). Yes I do have some quirky bikes as well - sadly the 3 of them are 2 strokes but there are very few 4 stroke cyclemotors & 2 strokes make a better SMALL engine - eg strimmers, cyclemotors or mopeds. Race bikes excepted from my sweeping generalisation!!!) Still 10 out of 10 for effort for the guy who designed it - the world would be a sad place if we all liked the same thing - be it gas gas trials bikes or ford cars - both of which I would be VERY unlikely to own! You never know it may be miles ahead of the 4RT and Sherco - I doubt it but who knows! Edited July 22, 2005 by g4321
spud
I wonder if its possible to get a 1300cc Hayabusa engine in that frame.... come to think/look of it chances are this thought may have seen the light, isn't that cyclinder a 1980's oil cooled GSXR? t-shock 250
So the guy wants to use his skills to build a 4 stroke twinshock....... What's the problem with that? looks like a bloody good effort to me, everyone should stop whining and appreciate the blokes handywork!
