superspark79
Guys , newbie about to purchase Trials bike here Really like the look of the Ossa but the horror stories concerning the 11/12 model are putting me off thoughts please
nigel dabster
I would be surprised if the issues are not sorted on an early bike. Price will be very cheap too, or should be.
wayne509
Horror stories? Like the gearbox ? Will certainly have been changed Rear suspension arms? They seize due to poor maintenance ... strip the swingarm off every month and grease ( 20 mins max once you have got the knack of it ) or fit grease nipples to the pins and you will never get a problem. What else?
steveo
The 2013 is the model with rear suspension problem. They fitted steel pivot pins instead of alloy as in the previous 2011 and 2012. They have gone back to the alloy on the 2014 model. They can be changed but will need to be pressed out. I lay my bike over regularly since becoming aware of this and saturated with spray on lub leaving the bike laying overnight to ensure penetration.
