matt
it is! 33bhp is the limit i think!
jjwhite
yea, once you have passed your test you are limited to 33bhp, this meands that you could ride a restricted R1 althought it wouldnt ride at all. seeing as though a trials bike is all bottom end power, and very tourqey they are very low bhp so are legal to ride on road once you pass your test. however, riding around on a trials bike you will get pulled ten times a day by the police, so to avoid penalties you must keep on everything down to the mirrors and indicators in order for it to be road legal. telecat
Truvelo Cameras use Wire's in the road and are forward facing hence useless against bikes. The Mobile Scamera'S are also forward facing but they have been known to pop out and get the number as you go past.

trials lad
I dont think you need indicators or mirrors to ride a trials bike on the road, ive never seen any on the road with them fitted.
wonder boy
For indicators you just use your arms and well for the mirror, throw that to you know where and just look over your should i think!!! This is legal. Think you must need a rear break light. Only think I

johnnyboxer
Thanks a lot but mirrors and indicators will be a rite faff No Legal requirement for mirrors. Same for indicators, because a Trials bike is single seater, primarily designed for off-road use and doesn't have a pillion seat, pillion pegs and thus isn't capable of carrying a pillion However it must have a speedo, electric continuous horn and rear reflector. This is the minimum for the bike to obtain a 'daytime' MOT. Tyres should be road legal and if you use it in poor weather or after dark, the bike must have a glass (not plastic) front light, with high and low beam, plus a rear light, which is both a tail and stoplight. The stoplight must be able to be activated by both the front brake lever and rear brake pedal
scorpa3
For a daytime MOT you will need a speedo and rear reflector. A large numberplate and a horn which sounds continuous when pressed. All other cycle parts, brakes, suspension, bearings etc must also be in good condition. Strictly speaking you should also have road legal tyres, however I have never had a problem so long as the trials tyres have plenty of tread.
