rhyds115 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Share Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) I have a Beta 250 '2008' I am having no spark at this time. I have changed the cdi unit and also put a brand new spark plug in. I have taken the flywheel weight off and had a quick look at the stator and it looks fine. I need to take it off to have a look behind it to see if its okay. dadof2 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Share Posted May 10, 2014 Source coil on stator is most likely problem. Take off the flywheel and look for the coil with the finer windings. It resistance should (from memory) be about 250 Ohms. Check Bradford Ignitions website - they may give more accurate figures. Better method is to connect a voltmeter to this coils wires near CDI and then spin flywheel with a drill (plug out and earthed).
