dnym Posted May 20, 2014 Report Share Posted May 20, 2014 hi my 2003 sherco 250 when running has a small slow drip comim out of small hole under water pump casing.iv heard this is probably.seal failing..also I filled radiator to spout. .could there b too much water which is why its drippin. tony27 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Share Posted May 20, 2014 Seal failed or shaft has grooves worn in it from the seal, easy job to change the seals & they aren't that expensive. jojjas Posted June 13, 2014 Report Share Posted June 13, 2014 FYI Due to caviation in the pump, small pieces of the paint in the pump cover got loose on my 2012 ST 2.9 and soon ended up in the outer seal causing leakage. After removing all the paint on the inside of the cover and flushing the system it was all fine again. On later spare parts, the inside of the cover were no longer painted gray.
