mags
Saw this motorcycle sport trailer at a recent motorcycle show. Was pretty flash in the flesh and could even carry a camp stretcher or two to sleep in for an overnight trials comp??? The front compartment has battery for lighting and a big area for dirty gear... muddy boots et cetera, hose out when home??? Cost was just under 10,000 english pounds.... don't know if thats good or bad in England? It was $18,000 hearer and seemed reasonable value for the fit out. You can even cook up a storm at lunchtime ...on the bar-b-cue!!! It also has water tanks. I would like it to have a bit more clearance for off-road towing to get into the harder camp ground accesses? totalshell
10 grands very reasonable for that level of kit out, simple 4 wheel car trailers can easily be that much.
gizza5
You wouldn't get that into half the trials start fields?

Blimey, at Ten Grand I would want the Car thrown in with the trailer and also a new 4RT as well ;-)

taffe
Now that's a better option, you would not have to ride that good. I've been to a few Harley rallies taken 2-3 days to get there and some dude shows up with something like these and wheels his Harley out the back, oh! and the the misses one too. I'll stick with my tent and blue tarps. Cheers Taff
mags
We are also in a tent and have hi-ace for carting trials bikes around. I borrow a mate's bike trailer sometimes as well. We just did 3 nights in this tent at 2-4 Deg C...geez it was cold in the tent. Pic of last set-up... Mags

dadof2
Just out of curiosity, What would trials riders be willing or expect to pay for a very light, fully enclosed 4 wheel trailer capable of carrying 2 to 3 bikes?
mags
I just got a quote from a specialist trailer manufacturer for one! Might no be relevant to the UK or USA though? 14 ft long inside with 6 ft drawbar by 7ft 6 " wide internal....20 ft overall. The long drawbar is to make the back half into a shower room and portapotti area. Height inside is 7 ft. 2 x 90 litre water tanks. Independent off-road suspension single axle rated to 2 tonne. 6 inch by 2 inch chassis... LED lights and full road registration. One by personal door LHS, 3 big windows doubled glazed and screened. Rear door is drop down using horse float spring to assist weight and serves as ramp. Walls made of 2 inch thick refrigerator room composite wall. Very insulated in summer or winter. Floor is composite honey comb fibreglass... very strong can hit with big hammer. Floor rubber lined for hose out! Comes with corner legs and jockey wheel. Holds 4 bikes with ease and all gear like helmets and boots on shelves. Has area are to mount my 60 litre fridge. Comes with foldout awning 13 ft by 7 ft.. fiamma heavy duty caravan model. Two fold up bunks at rear like van above. This is a dream transporter over-night trials/enduro trailer for us! Cost came in around 13,000 english pounds. WE baulked at price.... WOW! But will save and save, sell a few things to try and get one as we can see ourselves doing trials for a long time... hell, there are people in their late 60's and early 70's still doing trials!!!! Thats my kind of exercise later in life!! The work and play caravan above is around as $56,000 Aussie, as spec'd. So 22k to do same thing virtually!
