robbierich
Recently bought myself a 2009 gas gas txt 280 pro, was fine for a while then it started to leak oil from the crank case breather, so I stripped the engine down and replaced the bearings with the new type bearings from gas gas uk which have the inter grated seals and also the small seal for the magneto side Got a fresh gasket kit and built it back up, started the bike and it's fine for around 15 minutes use then starts spitting oil out of the breather just like it was originally, What do you think the problem is ? Thanks in advance
lineaway
I think you have too much oil in it.
baldilocks
What colour is the oil coming out, grey/white or the same as you put in ?
robbierich
Oil is coming out exactly like it was put in, want to get to the bottom of it as £200 and it's still the same
lineaway
So what quantity of oil are you putting in the bike?
robbierich
Around 400ml I think, it's still leaking oil out even when it's dropped down so you can just to say see it through the sight glass

Thanks in advance Is it this type of bearing with integrated seal (type RS) you mean? This will never seal the crankcase sufficient i.m.o. robbierich
the oil leaks out to the point you can just see it right at the bottom of the glass when the bike is level
lineaway
Wow, if after you ride it. It leaks enough to be at the bottom of the sight glass window. Is it also smoking a lot?
