akexd
Hi I am trying to fit a landyard kill switch on my gas gas 2002 trials. But it is working the opposite way as if it was a push kill switch. When the plug is in it stops and should be other way round.!! I have tried all ways i can imagine. Am i missing something really obvious? Any ideas please would be greatly appreciated.
thats_a_five
It sounds like your switch is wired opposite of how the bike is wired. Some bikes use "normally open" kill switch, some use "normally closed." Normally open would mean there is no connection to ground (earth) until you press the switch (close the circuit). I think GasGas uses "normally open." I know the JT25 I had was wired that way. Does the switch have 3 possible places to connect wires? One would be "common", one "normally open" and one "normally closed."
biffsgasgas
One side should be grounded to the frame and the other to the kill wire on the ignition CDI box. Is this a Pro or TXT? If you have both wires to the CDI then that would be the issue. --Biff
crazybond700
Like said above there are two ways of killing the engine. Makeing ground to the cdi, so 1 wire to cdi other to frame/ground. (this if it is a connecting kill switch). The other disconnects, than you need a wire to cdi to kill the engine
