Anyone spot the obvious mistake?

Besides the fact that it looks too damn good to make it dirty?

The seat maybe?(Doesn't seem to fit the tank properly) Or is the tank from a previous type?

Or the black forks?

Looks absolutely fantastic. Bet you can't wait for the first muddy section!

Is the alloy tank original, or is the seat? When I restored mine I was told that there are seats for plastic tanks and seats for alloy tanks. It may be that you have the wrong combination.

I have some parts that you can polish if you get bored now that it's finished!

I think the seat you have is for the later blue plastic tank models, one shock wrong way up and are those front mudguard stays original?

Twistgrip is not original type. Can't see speedometer or its drive

Still a very nice job though, I had many happy days and good results on a 325.

Weh heh what a bunch of perfectionists - some of your attention to detail is fantastic - must remember to upload lower resolution images in future!!!

You are all correct with observations.

Rear shock was assembled upside down, which was the principle question!!

I've not re-built it as 'original' - just to make it clean, ride able (important), and not too leave somewhere looking pretty but gathering dust.

Yes tank is Ali so thanks for the tip re different seat covers. No speedo, maybe at some time in the future, no need for one at the moment.

Next step is to take it over to some local woods for a 'test run'!!

Thanks all.
