zeke
Hello every one So recently well riding my bike staled out and would not budge. Bound up, kicker will not move. Motor will not bump. I walked her home. Once home I was able to pull the wheel through the stroke and freed it up. Started right up but sounding loud. Shut it down. After looking inside. I found lots of metal flakes under the piston and crank feels rough and sticky. So I think I will need to do the mains? I've never split a case before. What special tools will I need. Is it easy to remove and install the gears. I'm a bit nervous any help and all the tips I can get would be much appreciated thanks Z
dadof2
You will need a flywheel holding tool, a flywheel puller and a clutch holding tool, usually about £50 for the lot on Ebay or dealer like Splatshop. Other than that its just standard sockets, spanners and allen keys. Fairly easy to split, gears stay in sprocket side, take plenty of digital photos.
