heffergm
There's a 2012 Raga replica available near me that I'm interested in. It looks to have been well cared after and not ridden too hard. Condition aside, is there anything I should be looking out for?
power175
If you can get the chance, start it up and listen for any unusual sounds. Make shure all lights (if fitted) work aswell as any other accessories. Check for any rust or damaged items from a closer look and make sure you can easly get parts for it when that time comes. a good thing to remember is to ask for a history of the bike and the owners book for the bike. Hope this Helps you
guys
If it's fitted with the Formula brake and clutch levers, make sure they work as they should ( i.e. the pistons don't stick or leak) A little rattle from the engine is normal as long as it stops when the clutch is pulled. Check that the bearings in the steering head rotate nicely, without play and any roughness or "locking" in the middle position. The same (except the "locking" in the middle position) goes for all other bearings: wheels, swing arm and dog bones in the swing arm, although a little up and down play on the swing arm is normal Check the frame for (hair) cracks, especially around the head stock, swingarm and engine mount area. huski
Terrific bike if it's in good shape, ajp brakes and clutch parts are far more reliable than formula,it could have either'negotiate price if it has formula.general condition should tell you what life it's had,if bash plate is chewed up and pushed up towards the engine it's probably had a hard time, check around rear shock mount and steering head for cracks.ask owner about his maintenance wants the air filter cleaned very trial, gear oil every 6 trials, look in the airbox if it's really dirty walk away. Consumables are easily replaced but if it's not basically sound it's a money pit
dadof2
Check kickstart works smoothly and all gears engage easily. Ask for sump guard to be removed and check underside rear engine mount area in particular. Both frame and crank cases can crack in this area.
