mudyman
Hi all, I have a couple of 248 Tank / Seat units and was wondering if there were 2 models of the 248 as one seat is like the 349 SSDT (bigger and longer) the second one is as on the 348 (bothe have the 248 on the seat in white letters) ? johnmartin247
Any chance of post a picture of both units?
pro sport
Hi You might find that one tank unit (the longer seat ) is from the trail version of the bike normally denoted by a T after the model number. ie Cota 248 small seat is Trials version. Cota 248 T longer seat is Trail version and the bike would have had lights fitted as standard and possibly rear footrests.
chappo
Hi Mudyman, I'm currently renovating a 248 and my tank is away for spraying. Mine has the external fuel gauge, which is an external clear tube and raised numbers in litres 1 to 5 which gave a view of the fuel level. I have seen others without that which I think are the later models. Dave.
mudyman
Hi all, I forgot to mention that one tank is fiberglass (with the big seat and has the external tube) and the other is zhe UK version with a metal tank and fiberglas cover without level guage. I will try to load a pic soon. I can´t remember ever seeing a 248 as "T" Trail version ? Ian

kombivan
The red one I think is an early 348 tank about 1976-
