robbiesty175
Looking forward to riding a Vintage Trials event on this beauty tomorrow morning!!! And my winter project is to paint the frame. And possibly find some TY250 forks for this. I can dream, right?!?!?
mmmexico
It is nice to have a topic where people can show off what they are doing to their TY. Below is a shot of my TY 175 which I have been working on for the past few months. It is approaching completion which will free me up to work on some of my other neglected bikes. Actually the build has been the subject of my blog. meditativemachinery You can check there for many more pictures and commentary. fish06
This is my TY175, not perfect but it runs very well, I want to try a few mods on the engine to get a bit more bottom end in it, we'll see.

btc273
The cylinder head is cast with the letters ACK I got it on one of two bikes I bought and have only seen one other like it on another site for sale. It was sold for YZ 125/175s as I am told Edited October 4, 2014 by btc273
bontempi
Hey! This is my TY 210! No, it´s not a Chase TY! I build this bike in winter 2012/2013. Lots of modifications like: 57mm stroke(machined engine cases)/68,5mm bore/Fantic forks and frontwheel(different to pictures)/much longer swing arm/Swingarm spindle moved forward/Electronic Yamaha-ignition from `82/Special Exhaust system made of montesa 242 Front pipe and a MX Silencer and so on... Rear loop and original shock mounts are removed now. This Bike runs great, revs like hell and has plenty of torque. Won the 2013 German Classic Trial Cup on it :-) And the best thing is: It is my first bike!!! Bought it in November 1980 and sadly had to sell it in 1984 due to knee problems. Then in autumn 2012 i found it at a Classic trial in germany and was able to buy it again! (Thanks Michael!) It was still in that green color i had painted it in 1983. So it had to be green again! This bike is never going to be sold again!!!

tony27
The cylinder head is cast with the letters ACK I got it on one of two bikes I bought and have only seen one other like it on another site for sale. It was sold for YZ 125/175s as I am toldACK were 1 of a number of aftermarket parts suppliers who made heads among other things for mx bikes back in the 70s, I use 1 of their intake manifolds on my CZ400It could be worth checking at boats.net to see if the head gasket for the same size dt is the same & fitting a radial head off 1 of them, I have 1 for my 250 that will go on when it goes back together
