laird387
Hi, Will Hawkes, having started his charioteering with outfits powered by big Triumphs was converted to lightweights by riding the ex-Alec Wright/John Gazely works Greeves outfit, eventually obtained a Fantic from importer Roy Carey, had a chair built on it and proved it was a capable venture - so much so that it was 'borrowed' by the factory and copied to make other outfits. We plan to do a feature on Will and his exploits in ORRe, as well as a longer look at sidecars in the Allan Jefferies trial. In the meantime here's an image of Will on that first Fantic outfit. Enjoy.

laird387
Hi slicktop. If you think that was slop - how about this sidecar crew? I suspect they are both about to taste the special freshness that comes from freshly churned mud slop generously mixed with cattle dung.......... Enjoy - and remember, when trials riding stated over a century back it soon gained the nickname 'mudplug'.
slicktop
Yep, they are about to eat a cowpie milkshake. Those older rigs looks mighty heavy. I bet plenty of monkeys have been slingshot out of their chairs with that much mass going over. If chairs were an easy find here in the states, I would be sporting one now.
