Trials Bike In Extreme Enduro

Hello all from the states and we have our version of an extreme enduro in TN. It is put on by the trials training center in sequatchie TN. I registered for the ameteur day and used my GasGas. They wouldn't let anyone with a trials bike or trials tire move on to pro day. Not that it would have mattered I didn't have near the endurance needed to keep the speed up to move to the next round,

Anyway here my helmet cam (just some highlights)

On a side note is there anything specific I should look at doing when using the trials bike for trail riding, I keep the Rpms pretty low, I run 70:1 mix, no issues with overheating or dinged rims (been riding it like this all summer)

Thanks

The only thing I have found is that trials bikes with disc brakes sometimes overheat the fluid if the downhills go for a long time, or if I push too hard on the flat. Twinshock trials bikes in those sort of rides can be very good too, the bigger the motor the better so there is less gear changing

Looks great fun and no sections to walk, something like that up here just for trials bikes would float my boat.

Might appeal to riders who wouldn't enter a regular trial.

Most riders can mange this unlike a trial where most avoid the harder routes.

Thanks for posting.

Do I foresee a Wobblers time and observation event Allan? It's been forty years since we had one in Scotland as far as I can recall.

Yea, I have never done a trials event. Watched one this year, I've been thinking of joining the club there. Me and my brother were the only ones with a trials bike out of 150 riders. The rest were enduro style. They would blow by us on the straights and we would climb by them on the rough sections

You are on the right track if you just want to have fun.

I have a bit more rough terrain and have only rode against an enduro bike once with my evo300. It was my husky wr167 and a bud was on it, he a is a 400 2t rider. I will admit he didn't know the trails and was the first time on that firecracker, but I smoked him everywhere that mattered, meaning up the rocky hills, creek crossings, and in the sand. Scrambles around here are rough and rocky where a 150lb 300 shines.
