pschrauber
NGK BP 5 ES is good. NGK BP 4 ES is my personal choose for trials riding, much better durability and color. The colder 5 seems to run to cold still black while the hotter 4 has a nice brown color as it should. For trails and street riding I would use a 5. Better are the old Champion N-12Y, they offer a broader temperature range but difficult to get in these days.

nigel dabster
I prefer the ix and vx plugs but always found champion inferior quality.

dadof2
Iridium plugs fire easier. I used to run Champion N11Y or N12Y in my 325 Bultos. I think 12 is same heat range as NGK4. Champion (QN86) is the only plug I have ever had fail prematurely, failed after about 45 minutes running for no reason
nigel dabster
Im going back to the early 80's and its coloured my opinion of champions, and recently never had a problem ever with an ngk, but i change every couple of months tops. lbhbul
Bondy, I just looked at the plug in my 199, NGK BPR5EIX-11. We have used this plug for several years, it was recommended by a good friend. Have not had any issues since going this way at all.
