dmc2028372
Afternoon. Was talking to a nice chap the other day who said there's a man in north yorks, around scotch corner area, who restores fantic's as a passion. I missed an absolute mint 245 he restored the other day. Anyone know who he is?
andywalker
Hello, the Fantic your on about belonged to me, I restored it over a period of 3 months but decided to sell due to the fact that at the moment I prefer to ride either my 240 pro or my RTL 250, the 245 turned out really nice,I have another 245 and also a 205 which I plan to restore over the course of time. davelewis
Andy did you apply new fluorescent orange paint? If so where did you get it from? Regards Dave
andywalker
I purchased a litre of the day glow orange from a local automotive paint shop, they looked into it and managed to track some down for me, it cost around £40, which was more than enough to do the hubs, fork legs and tank, i used white primer then lots of light coats of the orange, the coverage is poor and it does take many coats to build up a nice finish, if you do not have a compressor and spray gun Halfords do a fluorescent orange in aerosol cans to.
