hondatl125
Hi Tel, I've bought a tl125s 1976 (miller highboy(mk1). My carb is pretty knackered and was wondering if those carbs on ebay from china are any good and if they're correct venturi and jet sizes? They're are about £30 plus import charges -(no idea how much this would cost in total I live in England, There is another carb advertised on ebay from a dealer but it states a 1988 tl125 with a 18mm venturi my one seems to measure 21.5mm with the verniers. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
lbhbul
If it is of any help to you it is difficult to measure venture size accurately using verniers, as they cant reach deep enough in the throat. Unless your carb is missing parts you can have a go with cleaning & setting the float to spec, carbs don't usually go to far away. Don't know about Chinese carbs, might be hard to source parts if ever needed. Good luck Larry
tlrider
I have a repro carb on my TLR250. It's of decent quality but I put OEM parts in it, particularly the needle which appears to be aluminum in the repro. The jets and inlet valve are interchangeable. You should be able to install the repro and have a much better running bike.
