anotherfive Posted October 13, 2014 Report Share Posted October 13, 2014 Whilst riding some obstacles like a step I get the feeling the bike is flooding then immmidiately feels like starvation and engine pinks. Can it be both within a second or two. I was sure float was set ok and this is only time it does it and its costing me marks. Any help appreciated. Yes it's fine on hills I clean the carb quite regularly A plug chop says its running fine. I do get some fuel out of the overflow pipes sometimes This is what makes me think the float is too high but its set a recommended. What do you mean by "the feeling the bike is flooding." When do you get fuel out of the overflows? Can you see it when you are riding? Has the bike always done this or is it a new condition? copemech Posted October 16, 2014 Report Share Posted October 16, 2014 Re read the thing and he did mention a Kiehin, so therefore, if you have two hoses installed, one on bottom of bowl(overflow) and other bowl vent on right near slide, remove the vent tube to see if it still happens. Insure this one is removed or as short as possible if you just must have it. Do not powerwash water in there though! Do tell results! nicos Posted November 16, 2014 Report Share Posted November 16, 2014 came across this thread while trying to solve a problem on my 2011 280 raga. when going down a steep hill it doesnt run well down low. whats the right setup for the breather hoses on this carb? why would removing any of the two hoses make any difference? thanks!
