Hi chaps

I've just pulled the trigger on a lovely 2012 Gas Gas Pro Racing :) I'm collecting Wednesday v excited!

I've raced motocross for quite a few years when I was younger then moved on to mountain bike trials and now race DH as well.

Although I've ridden mtb trials for 12+ years I know very little about these bikes so I have a few very basic questions. If anyone could help me out that would be very much appreciated. Sorry if any of the questions are daft.

I am pretty fastidious in maintenance and care for all my bikes and this will be no different - really want to treat the bike to the best.

1. What is the best oil I can get for the bike? I heard someone mention Castrol A747 in a post whilst searching?

2. What ratio do you recommend - I assume its the same as MX 2 stroke i.e. pre mix it to a certain ratio?

3. Is it correct to warm the bike up before using it and warm down?

4. Any other tips really to keep it running A1 i.e. oil changes, regular maintenance etc. I'd rather over do the maintenance rather than under doing it.

5. Obviously you cant ride it like a MX bike so I take it all the power is low / mid range? Do you have to be nice and gentle on it as its so light?

Any help along with any other info would be much appreciated.

I've attached the photos off Ebay in case anyone wanted to have a look.

Cheers

James
