john b
Quick Question... Rebuilding a TX250 (125cc) two bolts on the underside of engine - is the centre one the sump plug and the other to hold kick-start spring ? cheers John
dadof2
Pretty certain centre one is oil change bung. I think the one beneath kickstart shaft will have a spring and plunger in it which hold the selector drum in each gear position.
topcat
Middle one is the oil drain, outer one is the stop for the kickstart when you remove the clutch cover leave the kickstart lever on and rotate it backwards as if you were starting the bike so its about footrest level undo that outer bolt and slide the casing off complete with the kickstart shaft, this leaves the spring in place in the cover just reverse this process when refitting the cover
