Christmas Warning...........

Hi,

Recently I have been reminded of a couple of recent natters on the 'phone with several friends, mostly where our friendship goes back to them riding in the British Bike Championship that preceded the current Sammy Miller series, which we are covering in some detail coupled with images taken from the outset of the old series.

It was Charlie Prescott who said "I've got every one of your 'Offroad Review' magazines, and the two yellow 'Reference Library' books as well as the 'Lochaber Rich Mixture' book - so why do I need another copy - electronic or not?"

My answer was quite straightforward, firstly my last printed publications were twelve years ago - and life has continued in the meantime, so there's a prime need to update any stories we were telling in the old versions - but more importantly Mary and I, plus the other photographers who supported us, took hundreds of photographs at virtually every event we attended - but there was only ever room for a literal handful that we used.

The remainder have never been seen before.......

Those images, complete with the stories behind them are being used in the new magazine in their hundreds - and that's the other difference, yes, you can find lots of motorcycling sporting images on the web - but usually just as images - no details, no history, no explanation when there is something interesting or unusual to mention - and that's why ORRe is different.

Then comes the next crunch comment that several have raised - "I've decided to give an ORRe subscription for my Dad (etc) for Christmas........."

The crunch bit? Please, you have got to give the gift subscription on the pc/laptop or tablet that your Dad is going to use to view it...........the security software only allows ORRe to be viewed on the device from which the subscription is received - so our advice is to go and see your Dad, uncle, sponsor or friend, tell them about your gift - then put the subscription in for them on their device.

And have a bevvy with them whilst you are there.............enjoy!

Deryk isn't quite correct on this. You can log in and view from any device. What is in place are pretty sophisticated measures to prevent account sharing i.e. multiple people accessing the same account. One person accessing over multiple devices should be fine.

Hi Guy's.

Hi Rick.

"Small World" Again.

My Son Lee used to manage the Pashley Trials and BMX team. and design the bikes. He also did most of the work for "The Classic Trials Show" that we ran.

And I straight away knew the name Forte.

I will let Lee know you are on here. Say Hi to the Boys.

Regards Charlie Prescott
