iconic558
Gaunaco is a peruvian laama type animal, but what does the TL NW mean in the name?

pschrauber
Already the Guanaco model had the extensions TL, M, W, E, and GARA. While TL is easy it stands for TriaL. The other aren't so easy: and are found on this catalog page at the rear side: TL M.W meant trials model with rear shocks without gas reservoir and metal parts (tank)
mudyman
That is very interesting but TL/M is with the long ride seat for 2 and had the footrests lowerd (as well as having a longer brake lever and gear shift lever) TL NW is still a riddle for me ? iconic558
I'm guessing that the metal tank option may of been UK only. Back then plastic fuel tanks weren't type approved for road use.....couldn't even fill a spare fuel can up if it was plastic....had use an old GTX or Duckhams can! metisse
Mine is of French origin and had a metal tank. I think they all did as well as the early yellow models. Out of interest mine is marked TLM , it was the long ride model, it came with a slightly larger tank and the shocks were with out gas. The footrests were in the same postion although moved now.. These appear to be the only difference. Bon Chance
