burns1989
Hi all went out today for the first time with the weight on and I must say I can see where the benefits are and where the cons are . And to be fair I don't like the way it makes it less snappy and run on alot and not switch off when I want it to I got caught out with this. But the only benefit id say is if u are climbing hills it's good for sure but that's it . So it comming off and into the tool box ready for any hilly sections . liviob
I have a 01 Rev 250 and i ended up removing the clutch side flywheel weight. Its behind the water pump. The 250 is pretty smooth even with no extra flywheel weight on the crank. Great bike!
burns1989
Yha i think it is smooth but the extra weight gives you too much torque and too much of one thing doesn't make for a better out come . I like the snappy power and quick shut off of the engine. I can see why people don't bother with the weights can't see how it make it easer to ride technicaly or learn to ride with . dan williams
Go for carbon fiber reeds. Makes the bike grunt up hills and smooths the power out quite nicely. Of course proper jetting is essential as well. Edited January 2, 2015 by dan williams
nigel dabster
ditch the weight you shouldnt need it on a 250 i found it makes it run on much too much
nigel dabster
as above qiuck shut off is probably more important
