charliechitlins Posted August 29, 2005 Report Share Posted August 29, 2005 I'm not totally sure, but there is probably some sort of rectifier/regulator that feeds the fan the proper amount of voltage. If this is faulty, it could be allowing too much current to get to the fan (the alternator puts out increased current as the revs go up) which would cook it.
