chrisllandre
HI Has anyone installed a LIPO battery upgrade. There is a company called boost bikes or boost batteries on ebay that are selling them. Does anyone have any knowledge of them, they look perfect for the job. Is it really worth the money?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-Power-Oset-16-36v-Lithium-Ion-Lipo-Battery-Pack-10Ah-1-4-weight-4x-Runtime-/131403473119? Before i would part with that sort of money i would want to know the spec of the bms and the spec/type of the cells inside the pack, a set of high discharge lipos for 36v@10Ah will cost less than £100 delivered , so it really depends on bms, charger and battery spec and the advert don't really give much away. chrisllandre
I have bitten the bullet and ordered one. He is worth contacting direct for a discount. Have fitted it tonight and was really straight forward with all connectors provided. The best bit though was when I put them on the scales and discovered the lithium was 7.2kg lighter. For a five year old that should be helpful.
chrisllandre
We have now done a trial on Saturday and two hours riding on Sunday a lot of which involved a little distance. No power loss and still 3 lights
gwhy
We have now done a trial on Saturday and two hours riding on Sunday a lot of which involved a little distance. No power loss and still 3 lights please don't rely on the lights on the throttle as a indicator to SOC the lights on the throttles are designed for sla chemistry which discharges in a totally different fashion to Li... also please never charge these battery's unattended and always charge in a fire safe area. please don't get complacent just because it has a bms..
