taffe
Welcome Leigh, do a search above, " Sherco clutch sticking" or something like that will get you a whole host of past responses and suggestions. But you'll get some here too, soon. Cheers Taff
lineaway
Tell the whole story. Was the clutch working when you bought it? What have you done since? When did the problem start?
copemech
Let us clarify some terms here, such as when the lever is pulled the clutch is disenguaged and the bike does not go. When lever let out, clutch enguages and drives the bike. Are you stating that with lever pulled bike still pulls or clutch drags the bike a bit? A little bit of this residual drag is normal, specially when cold and oil is thick, making it difficult to shift gears from a stop. If it is dragging too much and still trying to pull the bike, clutch plates may be warped and not releasing properly(disenguaged)
turnypatriot
hi thanks for replies, im new to hydraulic clutches , but even when warm and lever fully back to bar it still has to much pull to be able to stop and balance .ive only had the bike a week so am still getting used to it from a small break from trials of about 25 years .also when changing up theres a slight lurch. think it might be a worn clutch but i dont know if theres any way of sdjusting it
turnypatriot
hi feel like a rite numpty its a scorpa not a sherco, but presume it would be the same solution to the clutch problem
jfc
Have you tried adjusting the push rod on the lever(adjust so it pushes the plunger in further). Start with the simple fixes!
lineaway
The Yamaha powered Scorpa is a strange bird. It still has a cable type clutch arm with an added slave cylinder. You should probably re post in the Scorpa thread.
