jimw
Hi, I've just returned to trials after many years on road bikes/supermoto. I will be grateful for any advice regarding mods, general tips etc for the TXT 280. Thanks in advance. Jim
charliechitlins
Great bike. Same as anything--keep the filter clean, airbox sealed, chain adjusted, fasteners tight. Take up the slack in the kicker before you boot it. Don't slap it.
sting32
yeah, if anything you got a bike you just need to make sure you keep the bike in good working order, like fasteners tight (as already told) oils changed, make sure you get that clutch lever adjusted for yourself, the previous owner should have set it for his liking... Routine Maintenance places I watch: airbox, shock linkage (looking for slop or slap & dry dogbone bearings), occasionally spokes- you ding em they should 'ping', chain, tire pressure, and oil levels and changing them every so often (forks too). steve fracy
One of the most under-rated bikes of that year! Easy to ride, easy to work on. works awesome! Cheers, Steve
