magicmat
My 2002 sherco has started to shed its tank sticker, So annoying ! When im sat at a queue i can press the sticker and petrol seeps out, so i assume im getting a leak somewhere. Either at the petrol cap seal or there is a pin hole in the plastic tank. Has anyone had this? im hoping its the seal go on the tank Cap?
p@ul250
The Benzine in unleaded petrol will osmos through a plastic tank and lift the stickers. Best thing is don't leave petrol in a plastic or glass reinforced plastic(GRP) tanked bike.
copemech
Usually the seal on the gas cap, never seen a tank leak up there. Most seem to ruin the stickers in a year anyway just spilling fuel when filling the tank! The tanks are some NYLON material and not normally subject to vapor permeability of some plastics, although they may expand with the use of alcohol in the gas as in many areas, making them hard to fit into the frame.
