pearson23
Hi, Not a very exciting topic but in the process of re-building my GAGAS 300 TXT Raga 2011. Q1 I have had the fuel tank re-painted but cant remember if the tank had foam protection strips to the underside or were they fixed to the frame? Q2 When I've gone to re-fit the radiator I have the 3 rubber grommits to the radiator side in place but I'm left with 2 spare rubber grommits, do these double up on the radiator side or do they go behind the screw heads? (image as attached only shows a single grommit) Any advise would be appreciated. GasGas Exploded Rad.pdf GasGas Exploded Tank.pdf
steve_earle
They have foam strips on the underside of the tank to stop vibration, Self adhesive draught excluder foam will do the trick. As far as I can remember there are only 3 grommets for the radiator fixings that push in the holes. Have yours broken in half? That would explain the extra ones. aussiechris
As Steve said, the rubber strips are stuck to the tank. The attached photos might help in placement of the strips. Sorry for the quality, they were taken a while ago with an old phone before I re-did my tank. Chris.
pearson23
Thanks for the replies. Mine currently has foam on the frame also, might strip this off and just apply to u/s of tank. And yes looking at the grommets they have split, obvious now!
