gregsta
Hi guys I was hoping to order a set of front brake pads for my 2000 Montesa Cota 315R from Sandifords. I got a quick message back saying that they are discontinued? Can this be right? I've not changed the pads on the bike yet so I'm hoping that it's just the 'official' pads that are not available and that I can fit any other make in there. I really don't want to have to be getting a new calliper just to change the pads! Thanks Greg
trial_007
That's a new one on me, I got some for my 315 not long ago and heard nothing about that. There are also plenty of other non O.E. Pads out there, and they probably fit other models also, I know my wife's quad brake pads look very similar, I kept one of the old ones to compare when I next change mine. guys
I used Lucas brake pads in my 1998 315 (with the 2 piston calliper) and they were brilliant Front: MCB 535 SR Rear: MCB 075 LF For the later models with 4 piston calipers the front pads are MCB 766 Galfer pads, which are also very good, should be easy to find Edited March 19, 2015 by guys
steve_earle
If it's the 2 pot AJP/Brembo/Grimeca caliper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-BRAKE-PADS-Pad-Sets-Peugeot-Speedfight-front-rear-Kyoto-HIGH-QUALITY-S1066-/191280761902?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c8938cc2e Or the 4 pot AJP: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beta-Gas-Gas-Sherco-Montesa-Trials-Bike-Front-Brake-Pads-AJP-/181681776557?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4d13e7ad
caravan_monster
The pads for the two piston calipers are common to a number of mopeds, so there should be a supply of aftermarket ones around.
