fitz_the_viking
More adventures with my little bike. the engine is a little rattly, it is nearly 20 years old after all, so i am going to do a bit of an overhaul. does anyone know if the 200 is the same as the 250 with a smaller cylinder? am hoping its the mains and a new piston but am planning on the worst, if it needs a new big end bearing i can only find 250 270 con rods. i dont know about using the old con rod with a new bearings, is that allowed or bodgy? am amazed at the difference in price of bike spare shop bearings and bearing shop bearings.
mcman56
The 200 Rev 3 is the same as the 250 with a smaller cylinder. I believe the Techo is the same. The small end of the rod has a bronze bushing to reduce the ID to fit the smaller 200 gudgeon pin. I thought I saw where somone was selling an over sized needle bearing that would do the same thing. Worst case, you could get a new bush made.
