hi,

Im about to get the OEM Tank Decals for my Rev 3..

The old one are reallly cracked and heavily discolored.

My Question is ,

How Can I remove the old ones..They are really glued in there....

without scratching the Aluminum surface,( did test with a razor blade on a corner and kinda scrathed the aluminum :(

without using heavy chemicals risking staining the aluminum.. or even worse.. destroying my fingers..since ive tried removing a little piece , and is just wayyy too difficult ..

Had everyone mastered this technique ?

Sorry, is this topic has been already posted..but i searched all the way thru page 64 here..and found nothing... and got really sleepy yesterday night.

Thanks in advance.

You could use a heat gun, but remove any plastics that are within range. Then use WD40 to remove the solvent and finally brake cleaner to remove the WD40.

When putting on new stickers get water with a few drops of washing liquid in a spray bottle and put a fine mist on the surface of the frame and sticker. Then you can move the sticker slightly and push out any air bubbles.
