stilly36
Gasgas not sure on the model or year. I was told it was a 320. I think it's around 97 onwards or older may be. It was given to me in bits. I have rebuilt it. I need help with setting the timing. The stator plate has little chip out marks on it but I can seem to find what it lines up to. Any body help. It has fontuna on the yellow plastics. Unfortunately I have nothing else to go on. Edited April 1, 2015 by stilly36
stilly36
First of all maybe some one can point me in the right direction with identifying the bike. The frame has been powder coated so can't find any marks on it. Any where else to look. The engine numbers I can't find. My uncle has had the bike for years. He gave it to me rather than the scrap man. He passed a few years ago due to a blood clot on the brain. Never mind. I am sure he mentioned it was a 320 or 300. How do I tell. Any help appreciated. If it's scrap I shall sell. Thanks
tlrmark
A friend had a 1998 TX320 gasgas from new, he had it for over 10 years before upgrading, it was a good bike. TX is the important part to remember when looking for info, as the later pro model gasgas is called TXT. They were made at least 1997-1999 I believe if not longer.

steve_earle
Look for the marks on the stator where the bolts clamped, Sometimes you can tell the original position that way. If not you can just centralise it to see if the bike runs then advance it bit by bit till the bike feels right.

steve_earle
Hi, Rotate the stator the same way the engine turns (anticlockwise on the gas gas) to retard.
