sherpa325
Is the Dellorto flatslide carbie a viable alternative to the Keihin, what type of power do they produce and why were they dropped from the pro series, Cheers
nigel dabster
Kehin appears on most of the works bikes.
sherpa325
I was pretty sure the works 2 stroke montys used them up until this year.
jools
Gasgas had them on the 03 280 and they junked them because they werent very good. Keihin is a far more superior carb to the dellorto thing. a mate of mine ran a dellorto flatslide on his gasser and hes taken it off and put the keihin back on, didnt rate it at all. Someone else i know had one on an 04 mont and it would not stop pinking & he spent ages trying to set it up. Stick to standard or a keihin. subira
If you can set it up then they work well, however had one on a Gasser and a Mont and they don't work as well as the Keihin PWK. I would say that the power is similar to the Keihin, but just not as 'crisp' - the Keihin responds really well to adjustment, for some reason the VHST doesn't respond so well, making it more difficult to set up.
