gasgas249uk
This could be the start of the new beginning , however we all have a tendency to confuse our love of the brand with viability. Perhaps as a small company something might work. Anything could happen..... Edited July 1, 2015 by gasgas249uk

mattylad
I hope the translation of 37 billion euro was an error or was it run by a Greek accountant

timp
They will soon find a buyer now. Nobody in their right mind would take all that debt on.
biffsgasgas
They will soon find a buyer now. Nobody in their right mind would take all that debt on. Or the debt they have is extracted from the entity who took most of the money and the new company starts fresh. --Biff
neils on wheels
That's not how liquidation works, Biffs. Whatever a buyer pays for any or all assets will be used to pay-off the debts. The likely shortfall to €37M will be lost by the creditors and Gas Gas wound up. If one party buys all of the assets & starts a new company then the financing of the company will appear on the balance sheet. It is plausible that if some party felt the assets & goodwill were worth €20M, they could raise finance & the new company would have €20M debt on the balance sheet from day one. biffsgasgas
Well I am no expert in this. If that's how it works there then so be it. --Biff
nigel dabster
If there are mad people then gas Gas as is will possibly secure a sale. The sensible option would be to concentrate on the core business of selling a popular and profitable bike in a small scale operation as Sherco does (in caldes de montbui).
hendrik
https://www.facebook.com/rltgasgas?__nodl KTM visit GASGAS today, 2016 with new orange trials bikes from austria ?
huski
IF KTM were to buy the assets and the name would they make the bikes in Spain or Austria?KTM pretty much own the enduro market where they have a good reputation and their motocross bikes enjoy a big slice of that market too.If it were to happen I think they could soon dominate the trials market too. They have a well established global dealer network,I don't think it would be that difficult for them. The GasGas pro is a popular and competitive bike,it was the management that let it fail. crazybond700
However KTM does not own the old supliers. So need redesign and that needs money and expierence. I think they should stay in Spain, because almost all trial is around there.
