sveson
Does anyone know if there is a 9T front sprocket available for Oset 20.0?
gwhy
Dont think there is... A 10T is about as tight as 219 chain can go. why dont you just increase the real sprocket ? Edited April 21, 2015 by gwhy
sveson
http://m.ebay.com/itm/221688377280?nav=SEARCH That is for go kart. But is there one that fits the Oset?
gwhy
the wrap on a 9t will kill a chain in a very short time ( thats why they are so rare ) , 10T is about as small as you would want to go. the one in the link it looks like it could be modded to fit the motor output shaft on the oset motors as long as it has a 12mm id.. I still dont know why you dont go bigger on the rear it will be so much cheaper ( if your bike has the 219 sprocket adaptor ) and there is no benefit in reducing the front over increasing the rear. gudah
True, and also it will decrease efficiency if you go too small in the front end. If you have a carrier from oset you can buy one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/219-Pitch-Aluminum-Sprocket-Gear-Racing-Go-Kart-1-Piece-Anodized-Machined-/221359642315?vxp=mtr&hash=item338a1016cb They are so cheap that the shipping is three times the price of the sprocket so look domestically first to avoid being robbed;-) Please note that you might need a few extra 219 links and a extra chainlock to fit larger rear sprocket diameter. These are available in 90-96 (From the actual seller). Edited April 22, 2015 by gudah
