ducman
Boost bottles and whrist bands will get the same result. They were very comon on Yamaha Lc's in the 80's and a big eycatcher in front of the cafe or icecreamshop.
trialsrfun
Some of what you found will have come from spacing the reed block back, I haven't tried a boost bottle on my YZ465 which is easily done using the next years part off a YZ490 but have used a spacer on the reed block and there is a small difference to how it carburates Which side of the reed valve does the spacer fit? tony27
Which side of the reed valve does the spacer fit?In front of the reed block, marginally increases the effective crankcase volume
axulsuv
I was gonna say the same as above ... But a well tuned piston port (exhaust mods included )has shown little or no benefit in my limited experience AKA been there done that ... Correct jetting and intake length are more important to response and power ... Glenn
