cbf1000
New to trials, new to trials bikes, new to sprung loaded chain tensioners. With the bike on a stand, rear wheel off the ground, 1st gear engaged and engine ticking over (to lube the chain) I noticed, what to me, seems like too much up-down movement of the sprung loaded chain tensioner. Should it jump up and down wildly like a 70's head banger's head? If not, how do I stop it? The chain is well lubed and without any apparent tight spots. New spring? new pad? new chain? or is it something to do with engine pulses? Appreciate your opinions / help. Regards Oh, the bike is an SY250 2T

cbf1000
Thank you. When you don't know these things, and only having road bikes to compare against, it was little worrying.
