biffco
Both me and my mate have an ossa mar. Yesterday we had them side by side and we noticed that my bike has the brake on the left, and his is on the right? Which is correct? When googling images of ossa's we have found both? woody
Correct fitting is on the right (sitting on the bike) Some people reverse the forks and wheel as when the hub gets worn the brake works better with the wheel rotating the other way round (allegedly - not tried it myself)
joeninety
Just from a cable bend perpective I'd have thought the drum on left side (nearside) as the front brake lever is on the right hence the cable radius being not so tight and an better brake action. biffco
I spoke to the guy at Inmotion today, and he looked at some part diagrams, and he said that it seems that early bikes had it on the right, then it moved to the left, and then later on it moved back to the right!? woody
Other models had the brake on the left but for the MAR, original fitment was always on the right for all versions Edited May 11, 2015 by woody
